Baseball Recap: Osceola Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Osceola, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They skirted past the Clearwater Central Catholic Marauders 3-2. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Marauders recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Brock Golden tossed a big game, striking out nine batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February.

At the plate, Osceola saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Daly, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI. That's the most RBI Daly has posted since back in April of 2024. Kayden Dorry also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Osceola's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Clearwater Central Catholic, they dropped their record down to 2-10 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Osceola will venture away from home to take on IMG Academy Navy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Osceola's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so IMG Academy Navy's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Clearwater Central Catholic, they will head out to square off against East Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Clearwater Central Catholic has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
