Basketball Recap: Douglas Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Plainview, Douglas was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Sardis Lions by a score of 72-59. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

The victory got Douglas back to even at 9-9. As for Sardis, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.

Douglas will challenge Boaz at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sardis, they will host Crossville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Sardis knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Crossville likes a good challenge.
