Flathead suffers fourth straight loss on the road

This season hasn't been kind to the Flathead Braves/Bravettes, who are still winless after their eighth game. They took a 63-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Butte on Tuesday. If Flathead hoped to take revenge for the 89-65 defeat against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.

Flathead's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was David Moody, who scored eight points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Gabe Sims, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Flathead's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-8. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Butte, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Flathead will head out on the road to take on Sentinel at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Sentinel presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Flathead in Montana (Sentinel is ranked 49th, while Flathead is ranked 153rd). As for Butte, they will be playing at home against Capital at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
