Basketball Game Preview: Ramsey Rams vs. Lebanon Greyhounds

The Ramsey Rams are taking a road trip to square off against the Lebanon Greyhounds at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ramsey has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 7.

Ramsey saw some tournament action back in December of 2024. They were dealt a 79-43 defeat at the hands of Grayville.

Meanwhile, Lebanon played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Steeleville, falling 87-46. While losing is never fun, the Greyhounds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 686th, while the Warriors are ranked 220th).

Ramsey will have to keep a close watch on DeVaughn Ware and Deion Washington, a pair of players who had a big impact on Lebanon's prior game. Ware posted 12 points, while Washington put up 12 points.

Lebanon has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Ramsey, their loss dropped their record down to 1-13.

Ramsey might still be hurting after the 80-59 defeat they got from Lebanon when the teams last played back in November of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Ware, who scored 37 points. Now that Ramsey knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time?
