Baseball Recap: Ardmore Comes Up Short

Ardmore was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Scottsboro Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 last Tuesday.

Ardmore's loss dropped their record down to 14-14. As for Scottsboro, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-13.

Coincidentally, Ardmore and Scottsboro will both be playing Madison County the next time they take the field. The Tigers will host the Tigers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Wildcats will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
