Volleyball Recap: Greeneville Takes a Loss

Greeneville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Morristown-Hamblen East Hurricanes. The Greene Devils were not able to make up for their loss to the Hurricanes from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 18-25, 25-15, 25-17.

Tori Johnson was a one-woman wrecking crew For Morristown-Hamblen East. as she had 31 assists and 13 digs. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 19 or more in each of the last 12 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Makinli Bullington, who had ten digs.

Greeneville's defeat dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Morristown-Hamblen East, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3.

Greeneville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Chuckey-Doak on the 23rd. As for Morristown-Hamblen East, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Jefferson County on the 23rd.
