Baseball Recap: Mountain View Comes Up Short

Mountain View lost against Nuview Bridge on Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Vikings might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 3-2 to the Knights, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

ALEX MORENO spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up six Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

Mountain View's defeat dropped their record down to 15-13. As for Nuview Bridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season.

Mountain View has already played their next contest, a 6-3 loss against Pioneer on the 3rd. As for Nuview Bridge, they will take on Port of Los Angeles at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Polar Bears will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight.
