Recap: Harvest Prep Warriors vs. Lake Catholic Cougars
The Harvest Prep Warriors stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Sunday. They claimed a resounding 85-50 victory over Lake Catholic on the road. Winning may never get old, but Harvest Prep sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Harvest Prep was led to victory by Adonus Abrams and Khalil Daniels. Abrams scored 21 points along with five steals, while Daniels scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Daniels has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ephraim Campbell, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Despite the loss, Lake Catholic still got an impressive performance from Peyton Budrys rini, who scored 17 points along with nine rebounds. That's the first time this season that Budrys rini pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Cross Nimmo, who scored 13 points.
Harvest Prep is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Lake Catholic, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harvest Prep will take on Dublin Jerome at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lake Catholic, they will head out on the road to challenge Trinity at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Trinity presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lake Catholic in Ohio (Trinity is ranked 240th, while Lake Catholic is ranked 482nd).
