Basketball Recap: Carroll Takes a Loss

Carroll was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 68-56 to the Fort Wayne Snider Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chargers of the 73-69 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Despite the loss, Carroll still got an impressive performance from Paxton Crane, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 boards. The match was Crane's third in a row with at least ten points. Brody Fisher was another key player, putting up six points.

Fort Wayne Snider's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Qualyn Clopton, who went 6 for 9 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylin Fertil, who went 6 of 8 en route to 16 points.

Carroll's record is now 6-11. As for Fort Wayne Snider, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Carroll has already played their next contest, a 39-36 victory against Yorktown on the 1st. As for Fort Wayne Snider, they will face off against Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Wayne Snider is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.4 points per game this season.
