Caden Caskey commands the offense for a Knights win

Recap: Ardrey Kell Knights vs. Sun Valley Spartans

The Ardrey Kell Knights came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24 points) and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on Sun Valley with a sharp 61-39 win. The score was close at the half, but Ardrey Kell pulled away in the second half with 38 points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ardrey Kell to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caden Caskey, who scored 16 points. The matchup was Caskey's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryceton Thomas, who scored ten points along with three steals.

Despite the defeat, Sun Valley saw an underclassman step up: Kaleel Benjamin scored 11 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Vincent Tomlinson, who scored eight points.

Ardrey Kell's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Sun Valley, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Ardrey Kell will head out on the road to face off against Cuthbertson at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Sun Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Queen's Grant at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Queen's Grant knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Sun Valley likes a good challenge.
