Football Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Cushing

If Oologah wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Cushing, they should've done a better job of containing Roman Tucker. The Tigers simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Mustangs 49-21 for which the team can thank Tucker, who threw for 223 yards and three TDs on only 16 passes. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Cushing, bringing their record up to 5-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.3 points over those games. As for Oologah, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Cushing will take on Wagoner at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last. As for Oologah, they will challenge Catoosa at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs will be up against the Indians' rather soft defense (which has allowed 47 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
