Volleyball Recap: Calaveras Beats Riverbank for Their Third Straight Victory

Calaveras had won two straight games and Isabelle Saiers did her part to make it three on Thursday. The Red Hawks blew past the Riverbank Bruins 3-0 thanks in part to Saiers, who had 13 digs and three aces. She has been hot, having posted 13 or more digs the last five times she's played.

One reason for the win was Calaveras' just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-11, 25-10.

Calaveras' victory bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Riverbank, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Calaveras is set to take on their familiar foe Big Valley Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Riverbank will face off against rival Bret Harte at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
