Basketball Recap: Edgewood Takes a Loss

Edgewood suffered their closest loss since November 22, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of the Titusville Terriers by a score of 28-25. The Red Wolves were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Terriers earlier this season, when they won 35-30.

Kennedie Sanders was her usual excellent self, putting up 17 points along with six boards and six steals for Titusville. Sanders has been hot for a while, having posted three or more steals the last 21 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Braniyah Brown, who posted no points in addition to 15 rebounds and five blocks.

Edgewood has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season. As for Titusville, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-11 record this season.

Edgewood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 48-26 victory against Merritt Island on the 17th. As for Titusville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 54-24 defeat against Space Coast on the 22nd.
