Softball Game Preview: Monroe Campus vs. Walton Wildcats

Monroe Campus will venture away from home to challenge the Walton Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Monroe Campus has given up an average of 7.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Monroe Campus is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 22 runs on Wednesday, they were much more limited against Columbus on Friday. They lost 11-1 to the Sharks. Monroe Campus hasn't had much luck with Columbus recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Meanwhile, Walton put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Stevenson as they made off with a 14-4 victory. Fans of the Wildcats have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Having lost for the first time this season, Monroe Campus fell to 4-1. As for Walton, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Monroe Campus might still be hurting after the 19-9 loss they got from Walton in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can Monroe Campus avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
