Baseball Recap: Genesee Find Success

Genesee is still undefeated this season after their game against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent on Friday, but Non Varsity Tournament Opponent came as close as anyone has to beating them. Genesee came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulldogs have posted since March 14, 2024.

Jackson Banks made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Banks was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Banks is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least two every time he's taken the field this season.

In other batting news, Cameron Holmes was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Joe Frye was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.

Genesee's win bumped their record up to 3-0-1.
