Volleyball Recap: Wapsie Valley Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sumner-Fredericksburg, Wapsie Valley was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the West Delaware Hawks. The Warriors were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Hawks, so the Warriors were just returning the favor.

Among those leading the charge was Kalle Voy, who had 15 digs and three assists. Those three assists gave her a new career-high.

Wapsie Valley's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for West Delaware, the defeat snapped their winning streak at 11 games and leaves them with a 11-2 record.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Wapsie Valley will challenge rival Aplington-Parkersburg at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, West Delaware is set to square off against their familiar foe Mt. Vernon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
