Baseball Recap: Martin Luther King Picks Up Fourth Straight Win on the Road

Martin Luther King is still undefeated this season after their contest against Roxborough on Monday, but Roxborough came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Cougars came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 18-17 W against the Wolves. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wolves, too.

Justin Reynolds was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Reynolds was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his six plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Reynolds is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

In other batting news, Ishmail Crawford-Mathis was excellent, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Matthew Scott was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Martin Luther King always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .569. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .569 or higher in three consecutive matches.

Martin Luther King pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Roxborough, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
