Baseball Game Preview: King's Academy Knights vs. Burlingame Panthers

For the second straight game, King's Academy will face off against Burlingame. The Knights will welcome the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

The home team had come away the winner the last six times King's Academy and Burlingame had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Knights came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 6-3 on Wednesday. The game was the first time the Knights have beaten the Panthers on their field since June 4, 2021.

For Burlingame's part, Nick Armstrong was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over 5.2 innings pitched. What's more, Armstrong gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in March.

At the plate, Burlingame saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grayson Howard, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Jean-Luc Uharriet was another, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

King's Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Burlingame, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-10.
