Softball Game Preview: Walnut Wildcats vs. Thrasher Rebels

Walnut is 7-2 against Thrasher since February of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Wildcats will host the Rebels at 5:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Walnut's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Baldwyn 13-0. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Bearcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three contest, Thrasher brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They put the hurt on Falkner with a sharp 15-7 victory on Friday. The Rebels not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 17th (when they won 16-1).

Walnut's win bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Thrasher, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-7 and their overall record up to 4-9-1.

Walnut got the 'W' in their previous matchup two weeks ago against Thrasher by a conclusive 9-3 score. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Rebels have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
