Softball Recap: St. Bernard Comes Up Short

The matchup between St. Bernard and Sacred Heart of Jesus on Tuesday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. The St. Bernard Vikings lost 23-0 to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Comets. The loss continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Comets: they've now lost five in a row.

St. Bernard now has a losing record of 0-1-1. As for Sacred Heart of Jesus, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-7.

Looking ahead, St. Bernard will square off against St. Genevieve on March 25th. As for Sacred Heart of Jesus, they will venture away from home to challenge St. Mary's Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Sacred Heart of Jesus will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
