If First Baptist wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played South Texas Christian Academy, they should've done a better job of containing Martin Tamayo. The South Texas Christian Academy Panthers simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat First Baptist 70-40 thanks in part to Tamayo, who went 9 for 13 on his way to 19 points and six boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rebounds.

South Texas Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.4 points per game. As for First Baptist, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.
