After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tate, Northview was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the W.S. Neal Eagles. That's more bragging rights for the Chiefs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Northview wouldn't go down easily and took W.S. Neal into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-11, 18-25, 22-25, 15-9.
Northview has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season. As for W.S. Neal, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-6.
Northview will square off against Laurel Hill at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. W.S. Neal does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
