Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 26-11 to the Banneker Trojans.

Mya Myrick made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole four bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of DaeJa Hines, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Even though they lost, Washington was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. The last time their batting average was this high was back in September of 2023.

Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Banneker, the victory snapped their losing streak at 20 games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-2 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Washington will welcome Lithonia at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Banneker, they will stay at home for another game and welcome South Atlanta at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
