Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Johns Country Day). They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Atlantic Coast Stingrays on Tuesday. The Spartans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Stingrays, too.

St. Johns Country Day hit Atlantic Coast with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Cece Nowicki, Mia Johnson, and Reygan Ropero.

St. Johns Country Day's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five matchups. As for Atlantic Coast, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

St. Johns Country Day is taking a road trip to challenge Lakewood Ranch at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Atlantic Coast, they will welcome Mandarin at 7:20 p.m. on Thursday.
