Basketball Game Preview: Lowell Red Devils vs. River Forest Ingots

The Lowell Red Devils will square off against the River Forest Ingots at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Lowell is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest loss since December 27, 2024 on Saturday. They took a blow against Munster, falling 61-34. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Ryan Grskovich, who posted eight points and three steals. He is becoming a predictor of Lowell's success: when he posts at least three steals the team is 2-1 (and 8-10 when he doesn't). Brody Carter was another key player, putting up ten points.

Meanwhile, River Forest got the win against North Newton on Saturday by a conclusive 62-38. The Ingots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 21 points or more this season.

River Forest has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points over those games. As for Lowell, they now have a losing record of 10-11.
