Basketball Preview: Shawnee Renegades vs. Moorestown Quakers
Shawnee has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Moorestown Quakers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Sunday, Shawnee was able to grind out a solid win over the , taking the game 58-48. Given Shawnee's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 79th, while the are ranked 331st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Moorestown had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.4 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They put the hurt on Egg Harbor Township with a sharp 55-31 victory. 55 seems to be a good number for Moorestown as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Shawnee has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Moorestown, they pushed their record up to 14-5 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
