It was a good run, but Gulf Coast unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They lost 8-2 to the Bishop Verot Vikings. The Sharks were not able to make up for their loss to the Vikings from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Gulf Coast got a good showing from Jack Johnson, who tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Johnson has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Thomas Eaton made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Gulf Coast's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Bishop Verot, they pushed their record up to 20-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gulf Coast will welcome American Heritage at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
