Football Game Preview: Rocklin Thunder vs. Oak Ridge Trojans + Official Tickets

Rocklin and Oak Ridge are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Thunder are taking a road trip to square off against the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Rocklin had taken Del Oro down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Thunder were just a hair shy of victory and fell 15-14 to the Golden Eagles. The Thunder were up 14-0 in the third quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Rocklin's loss came about despite a quality game from Reeve Slone, who rushed for 62 yards and one TD on only eight carries, and also threw for 159 yards and one touchdown. A healthy portion of that aerial production (82 yards to be exact) went to Greyson Smith.

Meanwhile, Oak Ridge got the win against Whitney on Friday by a conclusive 28-6. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won four in a row.

This is the second loss in a row for Rocklin and nudges their season record down to 5-4. As for Oak Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

Rocklin came up short against Oak Ridge in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, falling 17-6. Can the Thunder avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
