Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lathrop). They took their contest on Thursday with ease, bagging a 39-0 victory over the Redington Huskies. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Malemutes with their most commanding win of the season.

The win got Lathrop back to even at 3-3. As for Redington, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lathrop is set to square off against their familiar foe Wasilla at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Malemutes 11.8, the Warriors 3.7) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Redington will face off against rival North Pole at 1:30 p.m. on September 6.
