Football Recap: Germantown Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Germantown and Houston squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Germantown had to settle for second. They fell 33-22 to the Mustangs. The Red Devils were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 44-23.

Houston found their leader in sophomore Canon Day, who rushed for 125 yards and one score on only 11 carries, and also picked up 31 receiving yards and one touchdown. Day's longest rush was for an impressive 63 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Germantown has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season. As for Houston, their record is now 3-7.

Germantown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Houston, they will challenge Ravenwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raptors' defense has only allowed 12.5 points per game this season, so the Mustangs' offense will have their work cut out for them.
