Fyffe dropped down to 7-2 on Friday, ending the team's seven-game streak of wins. They took a 17-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Geraldine Bulldogs. Having soared to a lofty 54 points in the game before, the Red Devils couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Geraldine, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.3 points on average over those games.

Geraldine found their leader in sophomore Jon Beck Wade, who rushed for 202 yards and two TDs while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Beck Wade is now averaging an impressive 108.3 rushing yards per game.

Fyffe does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Geraldine, they will challenge Douglas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
