Volleyball Recap: Racine Case Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Racine Case can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Indian Trail Hawks on Saturday. The Eagles have struggled against the Hawks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

While Racine Case was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-23, 25-17.

Carly Laplante paced Racine Case's offense, picking up 11 kills. Laplante got some help from Mackenzie Ortiz and her 14 assists.

Racine Case's defeat dropped their record down to 14-26. As for Indian Trail, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-9 record this season.

Racine Case does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Indian Trail, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Franklin on the 30th.
