Wells and Carlin are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2016, but not for long. The Leopards will venture away from home to challenge the Railroaders at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Wells sitting on three straight wins and Carlin on six.

Wells is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Eureka, who was ranked 11th at the time (Wells was ranked tenth). The Leopards' defense stepped up to hand the Vandals a 36-0 shutout last Thursday. Considering the Leopards have won three matchups by more than 35 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Johnny Glascock was his usual excellent self, rushing for 148 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carlin). They breezed past Coleville to the tune of 60-6 on Saturday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Railroaders with their most commanding win of the season.

The victory got Wells back to even at 3-3. As for Carlin, their record is now 6-0.

Wells came up short against Carlin when the teams last played back in August, falling 26-13. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Railroaders' Dylan Ramirez, who rushed for 221 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 10.0 yards per carry. Now that the Leopards know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
