Baseball Game Preview: Archbishop Stepinac Crusaders vs. Iona Prep Gaels

The Archbishop Stepinac Crusaders will square off against the Iona Prep Gaels at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Archbishop Stepinac will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.

Last Sunday, Archbishop Stepinac made easy work of Xaverian and carried off a 16-6 win. That's two games straight that the Crusaders have won by exactly ten runs.

Meanwhile, Iona Prep was able to grind out a solid victory over Archbishop Molloy on Wednesday, taking the game 7-4.

Iona Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Archbishop Stepinac, their victory bumped their record up to 20-8.
