Basketball Recap: Creede Comes Up Short

Creede suffered their biggest defeat since January 20, 2024 on Thursday. They came up short against Trinidad, falling 43-19.

Despite the loss, Creede saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Greyson O'Hare posted nine points. That's the most points O'Hare has posted since back in December of 2024.

Trinidad's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jerome Schultz, who earned ten points. Schultz continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ayzaiah Santistevan, who put up nine points.

Creede's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-13. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.7 points on average over those games. As for Trinidad, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-13.

Creede has already played their next game, a 48-44 victory against Moffat on the 28th. As for Trinidad, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 37-29 win against Sargent on the 28th.
