Softball Recap: Beau Chene Victorious

Beau Chene proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 16) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over the Eunice Bobcats. This was payback for the Gators, who suffered an 11-8 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Laci Faul made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2025. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Ava Rollins was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Addison Leger, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Beau Chene's victory bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Eunice, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.

Beau Chene will be playing at home against West St. Mary at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolfpack have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.63 runs per game on average), something the Gators will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Eunice, they will challenge Basile at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
