Softball Recap: Pine Crest Takes a Loss

The Pine Crest Panthers came up short against the Hialeah Educational Academy Biggie on Tuesday, falling 30-19. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Samantha Burke was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Marion Benayoun was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

Pine Crest's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Hialeah Educational Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Pine Crest Panthers duke it out with Chaminade-Madonna Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hialeah Educational Academy, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Somerset Academy South Homestead at 4:00 p.m. The Biggie will need to watch out since the Hurricanes have now posted at least ten runs in their last four matches.
