Football Recap: Westminster Makes It Three in a Row on the Road

Westminster had won two straight road games and Kevan Bunton did his part to make it three on Friday. The Wolves blew past the Overland Trailblazers, posting a 56-6 win for which the team can thank Bunton, who rushed for 150 yards and four scores on only 15 carries, and also picked up 35 receiving yards. He has become a key player for Westminster: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.

Westminster's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Overland, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Westminster will face off against Mountain Range at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Overland, they will square off against Lakewood at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trailblazers will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 43.29 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
