Basketball Recap: Dixie Comes Up Short

After flying high against New Miami on Monday, Dixie came back down to earth. The Greyhounds came up short against the Ansonia Tigers on Thursday, falling 51-30. The Greyhounds were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in December of 2024.

Dixie now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Ansonia, their win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Dixie will take on Dayton Christian in a holiday battle at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Ansonia and Fort Recovery will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
