Volleyball Recap: Athens Takes a Loss

Athens was the 3-0 winner over Mildred when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Hornets took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles on Friday.

Athens' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Mildred, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Coincidentally, Athens and Mildred will both be playing Overton the next time they take the court. The Hornets will head out to face the Mustangs at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
