Baseball Recap: Camp Verde Takes a Loss

Camp Verde was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Williams Vikings. If the Cowboys were looking for revenge after losing 12-2 to the Cowboys when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Aramis Delgado was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

Camp Verde's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Williams, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Camp Verde wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 8-4 loss against Mohave on the 1st. As for Williams, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against Superior at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
