Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Fairmont Prep

Fairmont Prep entered their tilt with Westlake on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They strolled past the Westlake Warriors with points to spare, taking the game 55-39.

Fairmont Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Adyra Rajan, who shot 6-for-11 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten boards. Rajan is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 16 or more in the last 18 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarah Aldeguer, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds.

Westlake lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Taylor Swanson, who went 8 for 20 on her way to 18 points and seven boards. Mathis Dritz was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds.

Fairmont Prep is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season. As for Westlake, they moved to 22-5 with that loss, which also ended their 15-game winning streak.

Fairmont Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Westlake has also already played their next contest, a 65-40 victory against Oaks Christian on the 4th.
