Baseball Game Preview: Academy of Science and Innovation Ravens vs. Ellington Knights

Academy of Science and Innovation is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Monday. They came up short against Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy, falling 19-5.

Maxwell Gabriella was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with four stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was J Torres, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Dylan Killoran was a major factor while hitting and pitching. Killoran wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Liam Hebert, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Ellington is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Academy of Science and Innovation, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
