Timothy Christian extended their winning streak  to three  on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 14-6 in the process. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Wheaton Academy Warriors  a   6-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won nine contests by six  runs or more  so far this season.
The result came thanks to  Maci Woerner's shutout, as she gave up just five  hits and racked up eight Ks.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Sophia Mook, who  fired off two  home runs and five  RBI while going 3-for-4. Those  two  home runs gave  her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Chloe Wetterquist, who  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with two  runs and one  stolen base.
As for Wheaton Academy, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record  this season. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
On Wheaton Academy's side,  Tati Chavez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned  (and two unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 11 Ks.
 On the hitting side, Wheaton Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Moriah Husted, who  went 2-for-4 with one  stolen base.
 Looking ahead, Timothy Christian will be playing at home against Harvest Christian Academy  at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Wheaton Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the  loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Fenton at 4:30  p.m.  on  the 27th.
