Softball Recap: Unity Comes Up Short

Unity scored first but ultimately less than Ashland in their game on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Oredockers by a score of 5-4. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Megan Peterson was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Evelyn Fugate was another key player, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Unity's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Ashland, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Unity will square off against Northwestern at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ashland, they will face off against Spooner at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
