Volleyball Recap: St. Petersburg Catholic Comes Up Short + How To Watch

St. Petersburg Catholic lost against Northside Christian back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Barons lost 3-0 to the Mustangs.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-20, 25-7.

Gianna Shelton paced St. Petersburg Catholic's offense, picking up five kills. Shelton got some help from Abigail Parker and her 13 assists.

Anastasia Papric was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 11 digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (four).

St. Petersburg Catholic has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Northside Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-9 record this season.

St. Petersburg Catholic will welcome Academy of the Holy Names at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northside Christian, they will face off against Indian Rocks Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
