Baseball Recap: Prospect Ridge Academy Gets the Win

While Prospect Ridge Academy's win against Jefferson Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Miners skirted past the Jaguars 2-0. The Miners haven't had any issues with the Jaguars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Liam Schilling made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Schilling wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Zeke Bote, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI.

Prospect Ridge Academy's record now sits at 7-4. As for Jefferson Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Prospect Ridge Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Forge Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Miners 3.1, the Fury 1.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Jefferson Academy will face off against rival Colorado Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
