Volleyball Recap: Gateway Comes Up Short

Gateway came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Hinkley Thunder. If the Olympians were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Thunder when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Gateway was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Hinkley work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-16, 27-25, 25-14.

Gateway's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Hinkley, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Gateway didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Overland on the 25th. As for Hinkley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Vail Christian on the 24th.
