Football Recap: Benson Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when Benson took on Morenci on Thursday. The Bobcats took a 20-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The Bobcats haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Although Benson took the loss, they still got scores from Wayne Stark and Abel Osuna.

Leading Morenci to victory were Derick Lytle and Julien Aragon. Lytle rushed for 103 yards and one touchdown, while Aragon rushed for 92 yards. Lytle didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack, made two total tackles, and defended one pass.

Benson's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Morenci, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-2.

Coming up, Benson will head out to take on Santa Cruz Valley at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. The game will give the Bobcats their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Morenci, they will host Miami at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. The Wildcats will be up against the Vandals' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.4 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
