Softball Recap: New Waverly Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for New Waverly's offense. They fell 4-0 to the Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Bulldogs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

New Waverly saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kadyn Fortune, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

New Waverly's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10-2. As for Anderson-Shiro, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-5.

While New Waverly had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
